1)COLOURS AND NUMBERS.

Introductory video

In this first unit you can review vocabulary and simple constructions studied in previous courses:

B)Colours*.

*Little explanation: In English there is the word colours (English of the United Kingdom) and the word colors (English of the United States).

Here it is the pronunciation of the colours in english.Let's practice it.

You can use this construction to ask about a lot of things. For example.

  • What is your favourite number?
  • My favourite number is 7.

In the following image you can see different things that you use to work in class and at home.

Pay attention to the pronunciation and try to practice it.

3)My body.

The bodies of living things are divided into parts. Here we can see the most basic parts of our body.

In the following video the words you learned in class appear with some new one. Look closely and try to practice its pronunciation.

Here you can see a lot of different monsters. Draw your own monster, with its eyes, legs, etc.

Now you can cut out the drawing and play with it.



4)My family.

Look at the family photo and review its members.

It is time to practice pronunciation.


As you can see in the video, the words BIG and SMALL appear. Let's see the differences in this drawing.

Let's do a few activities now.


Let's add a little more entertainment to the page. Why not include a parchis? You can cut it out and stick it on a cardboard and then play with your family.

Remember the story of Tiger, Sue and Jay in class. Pay attention to the names of family members.

In the United Kingdom children like in all countries of the world play fun games of singing and moving together. See how they do it in this video and try to do the same.

5)Food.

In this image we can see some foods. Go over them.

To practice pronunciation we can use this video that incorporates some new foods.

You have understood all the words, try to repeat them aloud.


Can you remember this story from school? Look and listen.


Look and listen, there is a very cool structure to practice.


We can use the previous video to practice the structures:

  • I like _____.
  • I don't like _____.
  • DO you like _____?

Example:

  • Do you like sausages?
  • Yes, I like sausages.
  • Dogs like bananas?
  • Dogs don't like bananas.
